30 Days of Serendipity

While we are all getting ready for Big on Bloor this weekend I thought that I would take some time to post an update on the work I have been doing for the Smashbook course so far.

This course has been inspiring and difficult all at the same time. First of all, creating something everyday is a lot more difficult than you’d think, especially through the guidance of a group of people. It’s also the middle of summer and chaotic and HOT… so getting something down each day has been quite the challenge.

One of the warm-up prompts from the first week asked that we use one word across two pages and then run with it. Here’s what I came up with:

I still want to work through it a little more, add some colour, more flourishes etc. This is one of my favourite words and it was a lot of fun to work through.

I am going to try and get some more of my work up soon, in the meantime plan to visit us in Toronto this weekend for Big on Bloor!!! We will be there running an art journaling workshop, it’s going to be a lot of fun and you won’t want to miss it. Find out more information here.
