Last week the World Figure Skating Championships were held in London, ON. Every night throughout the championship a light show was displayed on the side of the Budweiser Gardens Arena. The ten minute show was developed in Montreal and was called the “Tree of Light”. I went to see it one night and it was beautiful. The story that was told was the history of skating throughout Canada, displaying a figure skater spinning and gliding throughout different images of history and nature. There was a beautiful variety of images, sometimes it looked like real fabric was falling from the building, or parts of the building were moving to make room for more images. I have included some of the pictures that I took throughout the show.
