Now that I am able to focus on a bit of my own work I seem to be in the middle of a bunch of projects but none of them are finished quite yet. So while I am working to finish those I thought that I would share a website that inspired me to power through the thesis and get back to my personal work.

I found Pondly while stumbling through the internet with Stumble Upon. This site is updated regularly with featured work in illustration, graphic design, photography, etc. I have found some amazing work on this site and have found a lot of inspiration in approaches that I can take to execute some of my own work.

Below are a couple of examples of work that I found on this site that really caught my eye. The first is the photo/photoshop work of Alberto Seveso, I find that his work is a beautiful combination of the two media and is executed in a crisp and stunning way.

There is also a piece painted by Kim Sung Jin. The oil paintings by this artist are unbelievably realistic. It is interesting how much each of his paintings actually say while just showing the lips of his models. The piece below really caught my eye. I really appreciate the feeling and the full story that this painting is telling of the couple in the painting. There is a lot of emotion in this moment and it has been captured beautifully.

I check this website regularly to see what artists are up to and to see how else I can change and further improve my current technique. This is a great site that displays a wide range of approaches, mediums, and technique. I would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for some inspiration and ideas.
