While writing my thesis at Carleton I have been looking for reasons to be doing some more of my own personal work. As it turns out a few of my friends were looking for the same thing. While we were visiting the 2011 Ottawa International Animation Festival we all go inspired to do some more creative work of our own. So the three of us have decided to get together once a week to collaborate on our personal projects to start.
We don’t have a name yet but we are working on it. We have been helping each other out with resumes, portfolios, websites, concepts, etc. There has also been talk of getting some classes up and running to help our fellow students with their software skills.
This gives us all an excuse to get away from our thesis projects and job applications for a few hours a week to work on our work and get the feedback that all artists need.
We developed a blog in order to keep track of what we are working on, what inspired and interests us, and where we want to focus on during our next meeting. Check out our blog here.
